Thirteen Time NATIONAL CHAMPIONS

The Ken & Jean Dance Studio is not a competition-based studio but consistently earns top awards on the national stage. At the 2022 Dance Masters of America Grand National Championship, Ken & Jean Dance Studio took the top award, winning the title of Grand National Champions. This is the studio’s Thirteenth National Title. The studio has also been awarded the coveted Champion of Champions four times and has received the National Overall Choreography Award of the entire competition seven times.

In July of 2022, 36 of our advanced dancers attended the 137th Dance Masters of America Performing Arts Scholarship Competition and Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.

More than 250 dance studios and 1000 entries competed for the title of Grand National Champions and Champion of Champions. Over the course of eight days, our students rehearsed, competed, and took four hours of master classes daily.

The week began with the two rounds of competition, in which "West Side Story", "The Prayer", "Partners In Rhythm", “Me Ol Bamboo,” and "The Orchestra" received nine Platinum Awards and one High Gold Award in their divisions. After these rounds, "Partners In Rhythm", “Me Ol Bamboo,” and "The Orchestra" all were selected to partake in the Grand National Championships, where the top five routines from each division competed to advance. “Partners In Rhythm” was awarded the title of "Grand National Champion".

The studio has been awarded Overall Grand National Champion thirteen times, has earned the title of Overall Grand National Champion of Champions four times, and has received the National Overall Choreography Award seven times.
