*Ken & Jean Cares*
Ken & Jean’s is a family business, and we believe in helping our studio families whenever and however we can.
At Ken & Jean's, we support charitable organizations that have personal importance to our families. Through fun small ways we are able to support our studio families in a very big way. We continue to raise funds at various times throughout the year and wish to thank everyone in our studio community for the donations and prayers they have so generously given to these causes. We donate 100% of every penny we raise. We are also deeply appreciative of the help we receive from alumni parents Diane and Michael Romanelli, who continually contribute their time, talent, and resources in ways that we cannot repay. We wish to express our deepest gratitude to them both for being on this important mission with us.
How and where can we contribute?
Theme Weeks & aWEARness - In studio, we host 3 theme weeks at Halloween, Valentine’s Day and for Down Syndrome Awareness Day. During these weeks the students are permitted to wear fun accessories to class. For each accessory we ask for a $1 donation to the Ken and Jean Cares Fund. Detailed information will be emailed prior to these weeks.
Annual Holiday Giving Tree - Each year the Ken & Jean Cares Giving Trees aid in helping students and organizations in need and let them know that their Ken & Jean family cares. Ornaments are purchased to hang on the trees and bring the true spirit of the holiday to the studio. This years recipients are Down Syndrome Association of Pittsburgh, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation- Western Pennsylvania Chapter, Reflections of Grace Foundation and Debra of America.
Race for Grace and Ken & Jean's Team - We proudly support the annual "Race for Grace", the primary fundraiser for the "Reflections of Grace Foundation". Each year, our students, run, dance, and donate in support this important foundation in memory of our dear little dancer, Grace Elizabeth Ekis. Over the last few years, our studio's team members numbered over 400! We are honored to have our advanced dancers perform at the "Race for Grace" each and every year. For information regarding the foundation, please visit the Reflections of Grace website.

Dance Class From Darcy - This gift was given by an alumni as a generous donation to honor Darcy. Through all of the lessons she has taught us there is one that tops them all - love and generosity. This tuition scholarship is for a studio family in great need due to illness, injury, tragedy, or other unforeseen circumstances. A studio family may apply or be nominated discreetly and/or anonymously by using the online form. Please contact Austin@kenandjeandance.com if you would like to contribute to this scholarship. The Grant Taylor Memorial Foundation 501(c)(3) is currently the custodian for this fund. Dance is the sunshine of our lives and through this scholarship our dancers can continue to dance through what can seem like the darkest days.
