Dress Rehearsal - Wednesday, June 11 @ 4:30pm

Dress Rehearsal will take place for all dancers on Wednesday, June 10, at East Allegheny Jr/Sr High School. We will begin promptly at 4:30p. Once students perform they are free to leave.

Dress Rehearsal is utilized to make certain that all dancers are comfortable onstage and that all pieces are in order. This includes lights, sound, makeup, hair, shoes, tights, any other costume pieces and of course... smiles and steps!

Please note that there should be no additional jewelry, all unnatural nails should be removed and no colorful nail polish can be worn. Details on the costumes can be found on the website here http://kenandjeandance.com/costumes

Arrival: No one is permitted in the school for Dress Rehearsal on Wednesday before 2:30pm. It is in the contract for the studio and we ask your cooperation in this matter. Note that the doors will open 90 minutes prior to each Showcase show on Thursday-Saturday.

A Few Additional Rules:

  •  Pictures and videos are permitted at dress rehearsal ONLY. Pictures and video are not permitted during Showcase. It is very distracting to the neighboring audience members as well as the performers. 

  • Absolutely no food or drinks in the auditorium. There is to be NO eating or drinking while in costume. 

  • Dressing rooms will be assigned and noted on the doors.

  • Everyone must clean up all trash, bobby pins, make up, etc. in the dressing rooms before leaving.

  • No credit or debit cards will be accepted - there may be an ATM at Norwin however we are unsure. 

Please allow for flexibility. We will do our very best to keep things moving but we want to assure that each dancer feels comfortable on stage. Dress Rehearsal is for students and parents only. Please do not bring any extra family members unless absolutely necessary. We ask that the focus remain on your dancer(s) and this important final rehearsal before Showcase.

Noteworthy Items:

  • The concession stand will be serving hot food and will be open at Dress Rehearsal. All proceeds benefit the fundraising efforts of the Advanced Competition Team’s 2026 trip to Nationals. They are cash only! 

  • Tights, Showcase t-shirts and apparel can be purchased at the box office. Payment can be made by cash, check only, or venmo. 

  • Showcase Tickets can be purchased on the day of each show at the box office. 

  • Reflections Photography will be on-site for professional portraits.

As you sit in the auditorium, take a moment to feel grateful for your children and the opportunity that they have to express themselves through dance. It can feel overwhelming at times and the commitment made is significant. But remember, as your dancer grows, it is not about the steps. You will see a more confident and focused child who has learned valuable life skills that will benefit them in all aspects of life. You will look back on this time in the future and wish you could relive it. I can promise you that!
